Angular motion at the C2/C3 joint for four different layer numbers (one-, two-, four-, and eight-layer models), two different equations (equation (2) and equation (3)), and four different loading conditions (flexion, extension, lateral bending, and axial rotation moments). The results based on equation (2) were represented by a solid line with a circle [25] and those based on equation (3) by a solid line with a triangle [26]. Experimentally obtained angular motions were represented by grey zones [35].
