TCE inhibited IL-6 production and Il6 expression in macrophages. Peritoneal macrophages were incubated with LPS and IFN-γ following isolation from untreated control mice or from mice exposed to TCE (0.01 or 0.1 mg/mL) during gestation only or during early life only. Culture supernatants were examined for IL-6 (mean ± SD). Il6 gene expression was examined in the same peritoneal macrophages.
