The CP asymmetry in type-I seesaw leptogenesis results from the interference between tree and 1-loop wave and vertex diagrams. For the 1-loop wave diagram, there is an additional contribution from -conserving diagram to the CP asymmetry which vanishes when summing over lepton flavours.
