The ellipses show the 90% CL regions in which a positive observation of could be contained, according to the experimental uncertainties and 5 (solid) and 20 (dashed) actually observed events. In particular, the upper ellipse assumes the present limit from the combined ¹³⁶Xe experiments [81]. The lower one assumes the sensitivity of CUORE [83].
