Flowchart for the three steps of the method. Step controls the quality of radial velocity observations and produces radial velocity analyses (on model grid) by minimizing in (6) at , and + , respectively, for three consecutive radar volume scans. Step produces the vector velocity increments by minimizing in (11) at /2 and + /2, respectively. Step produces the perturbation pressure increment by minimizing in (16) first, and then produces the perturbation potential temperature increment by minimizing in (18) at , and finally adjusts the water vapor mixing ratio and the rain (or snow) mixing ratio (or snow mixing ratio ) below (or above) the freezing level.
