Panels (a–h) illustrate the correlation coefficients between SST and climate and vegetation patterns in NSA 2011–2050, where panels (a–d) are based on increased CO₂ atmospheric concentration for the A2 scenario of IPCC and panels (e–h) illustrate the results without the trend of global warming (see text for details). It should be noted that these figures only show significant values at the 0.01 level of a Student’s -test with a positive or negative correlation of greater than 0.13.
