Temperature extreme frequency for (a) TX and (b) TN at different thresholds for 25 station locations in Saudi Arabia for the period 1978–2019. The difference in frequency between the latest two decades (1981–1999) and earlier two decades (2000–2019) at ≥48°C, ≥44°C, ≥40°C, ≤10°C, ≤6°C, and ≤2°C is also shown. The threshold for TX is ≥ 40°C to ≥50°C with an increment of 1°C interval while for TN ≤ 10°C to ≤0°C with a decrement of 1°C interval.
