MLV-based retroviral ProCon vectors. LTRs consist of unique (U3), repeated (R), andunique (U5) regions. LTRs consist of repeated (R) and unique (U5) regions.The LTR U3 region has been replaced by the MMTV promoter that drivesexpression of the transgene (eGFP or CYP2B1) in infected cells. All vectorscontain the CMV enhancer region (CMV enh) upstream of the LTR, a packagingregion (ψ), an internal SV40 promoter (SV40) driving the expression of a neomycin resistancegene (neo), the Woodchuck hepatitis virus posttranscriptional regulatoryelement (WPRE), and an origin of replication (ori) for replication in E. coli.
