A molecular factors-mediated interaction produces DNA colocalization. The pictures schematically show how DNA segments at equilibrium colocalize, when the concentration of Molecular Factors (MFs, yellow beads) or their affinity for the Binding Sites (BSs, green beads) exceeds a threshold value. Actually, when this happens, thermodynamically stable “MF bridges” are built between the DNA loci.
