Reduced Expression of TCR Zeta Is Involved in the Abnormal Production of Cytokines by Peripheral T Cells of Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

RT-PCR analysis of gene expression of IFN-𝛾 upon stimulation with an anti-CD3 antibody. Control T cells (Control) and SLE T cells (SLE) were cultured in the presence (+CD3) or absence (None) of stimulation. Twenty ng of total RNAs extracted from the cells were subjected to RT-PCR for IFN-𝛾 and GAPDH. The resultant DNA fragments were separated through a 1.5% agarose gel and stained with cyber green.
