Acanthopanax koreanum Fruit Waste Inhibits Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Production of Nitric Oxide and Prostaglandin E2 in RAW 264.7 Macrophages

Effects of CH2Cl2 fraction from A. koreanum on the degradation of IκB-α in LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. RAW 264.7 cells (1.0 × 106 cells/mL) were stimulated with LPS (1  𝜇 g/mL) in the presence of A. koreanum (12.5, 25, 50, 100  𝜇 g/mL) for 15 minutes. As a control, we also applied PDTC (25  𝜇 M), a specific NF- 𝜅 B inhibitor. Whole cell lysates (25  𝜇 g) were prepared and the protein was subjected to 12% SDS-PAGE. Expression of I 𝜅 B- 𝛼 and 𝛽 -actin were determined by western blotting. 𝛽 -Actin served as a loading control.
