Effects of live P. intermedia and A. naeslundii, and of Raspberry, Chicory, and Mushroom LMM fractions on expression of Cyt18 (a) and 4βINT (b) in KB cells. Cells were exposed to bacteria (at the nominal bacteria: KB cell ratio of 50) and fractions (0.2x), alone and in combination, for 4 h. Gene expression was evaluated by RT-Q-PCR as described in Methods. Data, expressed as relative expression with respect to controls, represent the mean ± SD of four experiments in triplicate.
