RT real time PCR exon-skipping quantification. Histograms show the percentages of exon–23-skipped transcript, calibrated on exons 8 and 25 (ΔΔCt method) and calculated in treated (ZM2-AON and naked AON) with respect to untreated mdx mice. The in-frame skipped product was detected in all skeletal muscles and the heart at percentages ranging from 6.3 to 9.5% in ZM2–AON-treated mice (black bars) and from 2.6 to 6.5% after treatment with naked AON (grey bars).
