Immunostaining with photoreceptor cell-specific markers was performed with primary antibodies against rhodopsin (rod photoreceptors; (a–c)), PNA (cone photoreceptors; (d–f)), S-opsin (cone photoreceptors; (g–i)), and M-opsin (cone photoreceptors; (j–l)).
