Quantification of BM-MSCs cultured for 14 d on 2D matrices coated with various gelatin concentrations. Bone-marrow-derived primary cells were cultured on culture plates coated with 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1 and 2% (wt/v) gelatin and the cells stained negatively with trypan blue were enumerated using a hemocytometer. The highest numbers of BM-MSCs were obtained from bone-marrow-derived primary cells cultured on 1 and 2% (wt/v) gelatin-coated culture dishes.
