Molybdate reduction at various initial pH values. Strain DRY14 was grown for 24 hours in 50 mL of low phosphate liquid medium containing 10 mM molybdate at various initial pH values. Molybdate reduction was considered negligible if the absorbance at 865 nm is below 0.020. Error bars represent mean ± standard error ().
