Overexpression of RKIP Inhibits Cell Invasion in Glioma Cell Lines through Upregulation of miR-98

Overexpression of miR-98 enhances effects of RKIP on the proliferation and invasion of U251 or U87 cell line. U251 and U87 cells were cotransfected with RKIP ORF clone and miR-98. After 48 h, the proliferation of U251 or U87 was analyzed by BrdU assay and the invasion ability was observed by Transwell assay. (a) BrdU cell proliferation assay. Overexpression of miR-98 had no effects on the proliferation of U251 or U87 cell line. (b) More significant inhibition of invasion ability was observed by Transwell assay.
