CD59 Underlines the Antiatherosclerotic Effects of C-Phycocyanin on Mice

Figure 6

Determination of cyclin D1 by fluoroimmunoassay. (a) The expression of cyclin D1 in four groups of mice ( ). The nuclei of positive cell emitted red fluorescent. Compared with control group, fluorescence intensity in smooth muscle cells of aorta was stronger than that in C-PC treatment group and CD59 transfection group. In C-PC+CD59 synergy group, fluorescence intensity was the weakest and most smooth muscle cells were negative. (A) Control group, (B) C-PC treatment group, (C) CD59 transfection group, and (D) C-PC+CD59 synergy group. (b) Comparison of grayscales in four groups. Grayscales reflect the fluorescence density. Compared with control group, the fluorescence density in C-PC or CD59 treated groups was increased. The differences were statistically significant (* ). Moreover, the fluorescence density was further enhanced in C-PC+CD59 synergy group which had significant differences with control group (** ).
