Differential Influence of Components Resulting from Atmospheric-Pressure Plasma on Integrin Expression of Human HaCaT Keratinocytes

Induction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) within HaCaT cells by plasma. HaCaT cells remained either untreated (time 0) or were treated with DBD/air ((a); ▽=1 h after plasma treatment, ○ = 24 h after plasma treatment; 𝑁=7) or DBD/argon ((b); ▽=1 h after plasma treatment, ○ = 24 h after plasma treatment; 𝑁=7) plasma for 60 to 300 s. Intracellular ROS were detected by flow cytometry using the dye CM-H₂DCFDA and results are given as mean ± SEM. ^∗𝑃<0.05, ^∗∗𝑃<0.01 versus control cells (𝑡-test).
