Endophytic Actinomycetes: A Novel Source of Potential Acyl Homoserine Lactone Degrading Enzymes

HPLC analysis of enzymatic hydrolysis product of C₁₀HSL with the HSL-degrading enzyme from LPC029. The initial C₁₀HSL (35 mM) was reacted with partially purified enzyme from LPC029 for 16 h and separated with HPLC. HPLC profiles of (a) HSL standard (3.5 mM); (b) unreacted C₁₀HSL (35 mM); and (c) reaction product of C₁₀HSL with LPC029 HSL-degrading enzyme. The product peak was eluted at 2.8 min. mAU is the abbreviation for milli-absorbance unit.
