The effect of osthole on (a) Bax, (b) Bcl-2 mRNA expression, and (c) Bax/Bcl-2 in PC12 cells. Cells were pretreated with osthole (7 μg/cc) 2 h before exposure to 5 μM of DOX. Normalization relative to B-actin was performed. Levels of mRNA are expressed relative to control cells in the mean ± S.E.M values derived from three independent experiments. ^#𝑃<0.05, ^##𝑃<0<0.01, ^###𝑃<0.001 versus control, and ^∗𝑃<0.05 versus DOX-treated cells.
