Quantification of pneumococcal colonization in the middle ear of rats inoculated with 35 μg mL−1 sinefungin. CFU count was used to enumerate bacteria in whole bulla lysate of samples treated with bacteria suspension supplied with sinefungin with respect to control groups. The error bars represent the standard deviation of the mean values. The results were significant by Student’s -test ().
