Piwep inhibits lymphocyte activity in the regional lymph node of EAE mice. Effects of Piwep on lymphocyte activity in the regional lymph node—where lymphocytes proliferate—were determined. EAE was associated with not only proliferation but also with secretion of interferon (IFN)- and interleukin (IL)-12 of lymphocytes obtained from cervical lymph nodes. Piwep significantly () inhibited the EAE-associated proliferation and interferon- secretion, except IL-12. Data are mean SEM (). compared with Piwep treated group.
