Samples obtained through participation to consecutive an interlaboratory proficiency tests organised by the European Union reference laboratory of rabies (ANSES, Nancy, France) between 2009 and 2013. Samples were reconstituted in 1 mL sterile, nuclease-free, and distilled water (Robardet et al., 2011 [26 ]).
