Neuroprotective Effects of Geniposide in SH-SY5Y Cells and Primary Hippocampal Neurons Exposed to Aβ42

Geniposide promotes the formation of amyloid fibrils rather than protofibrils. Aβ (100 μM) was coincubated with geniposide (100 μM) at 37°C for 24 h, and the Aβ coincubated with PBS at 37°C or 4°C for 24 h was set as control. Morphology of the protein was observed by transmission electron microscope (scale bar represents 100 nm).
