Clinical Study

Preliminary Clinical Experience of trans-1-Amino-3-(18)F-fluorocyclobutanecarboxylic Acid (anti-(18)F-FACBC) PET/CT Imaging in Prostate Cancer Patients

Figure 2

A 70-year-old patient had Gleason score 9 disease (T3bN0M0) treated with radical prostatectomy 6 years earlier and he developed a biochemical relapse. The first investigation was negative at serum PSA concentration 0.56, but, in the second examination 3 months later at PSA concentration 1.50, a small lymph node uptake was found in an obturator lymph node ( 4.2); retrospectively, there was no significant uptake ( 1.7) in the first scanning. Normal distribution is seen in the liver, pancreas, skeletal muscles, and also in the urinary bladder.
