An Evaluation of 3-Rhamnosylquercetin, a Glycosylated Form of Quercetin, against the Myotoxic and Edematogenic Effects of sPLA₂ from Crotalus durissus terrificus

(a) shows the results of the enzymatic activity assays that were performed by using a synthetic chromogenic substrate for PLA₂ (NOBA). The reaction was monitored at 425 nm. sPLA₂ : Q and sPLA₂ : Qn exhibited a significant decrease in activity when compared to native sPLA₂. (b) shows the effect of the substrate concentration on enzyme activity in the presence of native sPLA₂, sPLA₂ : Q, and sPLA₂ : Qn.
