(b) Changes in the expression of caspase 3 proteins in striatal neurons treated with 30 mM GA. Primary cultures were exposed to 30 mM GA with or without antagonist preincubation for 24 h. Caspase 3 (precursor and active fragment) levels increased after GA incubation. The increase in active fragment of caspase 3 was partly reduced by addition of MK-801 but not CNQX.
