Silencing miR-21 Sensitizes Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer A549 Cells to Ionizing Radiation through Inhibition of PI3K/Akt

Proliferation of NSCLC A549 cells after ionizing radiation (IR). A549 cells were transfected with either anti-miR-21 or anti-miR-NC and 48 h later were exposed to 8 Gy of IR and the growth characteristics of A549 cells were determined by MTT assay 72 hours after IR. The anti-miR-NC-transfected sample was normalized to 100% cell viability. The data represent the means ± SD of three separate experiments. Student’s -test was used to analyze the statistics (* ).
