Neuropathologic Implication of Peripheral Neuregulin-1 and EGF Signals in Dopaminergic Dysfunction and Behavioral Deficits Relevant to Schizophrenia: Their Target Cells and Time Window

<table>Neurobehavioral consequences following subcutaneous/intracerebral administration of EGF to neonatal, juvenile, and adult rats. Intracerebral administration to adult rats was achieved with cannula implantation to the stratum; EGF was subchronically supplied from an osmotic pump at the rate of 75 ng/h. There is a critical time window for the induction of behavioral deficits following peripheral EGF administration.</table>
