The yellow numbers indicate the myelinated fibers that have the top inside the circular frame and therefore are counted. . (c) and (d) illustrate the data obtained with the light microscopic stereological analysis. (c) shows the total number of myelinated fibers in the control group and 25 days after the crush injury, while (d) shows the size parameters (axon diameter, fiber diameter, and myelin thickness) in the two experimental groups.
