BTB reduces ERα, c-Myc, and Cyclin D1 protein expression levels in MCF-7, Ishikawa, and SKOV-3 cells but has no effect on ERα gene expression at mRNA level. Western blot analyses of ERα, c-Myc, and Cyclin D1 levels in control and 2.5 uM BTB treated MCF-7, Ishikawa, and SKOV-3 cells in the absence or presence of 10 nM E2. 50 μg of total protein from cells was applied onto a 10% sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel and subjected to electrophoresis followed by Western blot using anti-ERα, anti-c-Myc, or anti-Cyclin D1 antibodies. Representative graphs were shown from consistent results collected from three independent experiments.
