Cytotoxic effect of compounds 1 and 2 in three nervous cell lines. (a) PC-12, (b) Neuro-2a, and (c) SH-SY5Y cells monolayers were incubated in the presence of different concentrations of compounds 1 and 2. After 24 h of incubation at 37°C cell viability was determined by the MTT assay. The CC50 was defined as the concentration of the compound that caused a 50% reduction in cell viability. Data are mean values from four separate experiments.
