A Plant-Produced Antigen Elicits Potent Immune Responses against West Nile Virus in Mice

Competitive ELISA of DIII binding by hE16 and antibodies in anti-DIII serum. Plant-derived DIII immobilized in microtiter plate wells was preincubated with 1 : 100 dilution of indicated sera. hE16 was then applied to sample wells to determine its binding to DIII. The inhibition of serum preincubation on the subsequent hE16 binding to DIII is presented as the % of OD450 reduction by the preincubation. Mean ± SD of samples from three measurements is presented.
