Cigarette Smoke-Exposed <i>Candida albicans</i> Increased Chitin Production and Modulated Human Fibroblast Cell Responses

<table>Chitin content in the nonexposed and CSC-exposed<i> C. albicans</i>. The glucosamine released from the purified cell walls following acid hydrolysis was quantified and expressed as a percentage of cell wall dried weight. Data presented are from four independent assays performed in triplicate.
