Cellular survival within the scaffold. The metabolic activity (WST-1) and cellular death (LDH) were measured and compared after seeding. Results show that the metabolic activity of the cells increased over time, indicating that the cells were able to proliferate within the scaffolds (a). The LDH released by the cells was measured as an indicator of cellular death. The highest mortality was observed after only 1 d in the decellularized dermis indicating a poor biocompatibility with the AdMSCs (b). , .
