Markers of renal function were evaluated before MSC administration (eight weeks after diabetes induction) and after two and eight weeks after MSC administration. All animals were housed in metabolic cages to collect urine for albuminuria determinations; blood was collected and used to measure plasmatic creatinine and urea nitrogen levels. Data are presented as mean SEM, . versus Normal; # versus DM for the same time point.
