Among infants born before the 32nd week of pregnancy, delayed clamping of the umbilical cord (DCC: delayed cord clamping 30–45 s) reduced the rate of intraventricular brain hemorrhage (IHV) and neonatal sepsis significantly when compared to immediate severance of the cord (ICC: immediate cord clamping 5–10 s) [94]. |
