RA, rheumatoid arthritis; HC, healthy controls. Qualitative variables are expressed as frequencies (%); quantitative variables are expressed as means ± standard deviations (SD). Comparisons between proportions were computed using Chi-square or Fisher exact test. Comparisons between means were computed with unpaired Student’s -test.
