Transcriptional and Biochemical Effects of Cadmium and Manganese on the Defense System of <i>Octopus vulgaris</i> Paralarvae

<div>Expression of<i> hsp70</i> mRNA in response to cadmium (a) and manganese (b) treatments in the<i> O. vulgaris</i> paralarvae. The expression levels of validated internal control genes (<i>18S rRNA</i>,<i> ubi,</i> and<i> tuba</i>) were used to calculate the normalization factor in real-time PCR experiments. Values indicate the mean ± SD.
