Acoustic-Frequency Vibratory Stimulation Regulates the Balance between Osteogenesis and Adipogenesis of Human Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

Figure 5

Acoustic-frequency vibratory stimulation (AFVS) modulates expression of mRNA encoding adipogenesis-specific markers in human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) at the time points of day 14 ((a), (b), (c), and (d)) and day 21 ((e), (f), (g), and (h)), respectively. The mRNA levels of FABP4 ((a), (e)), CEBPA ((b), (f)), PPARG2 ((c), (g)), and LEP ((d), (h)) were measured by real-time RT-PCR. Values are mean ± standard error of four independent experiments (). , in the indicated groups from unpaired -test. , compared with the 0 Hz control group from unpaired -test.
