Effect of MRE treatment on cytochrome in HepG2 cells. Cells were incubated for 3, 6, and 24 h with 109 μg/mL (IC₅₀ value at 24 h) of methanolic root extract of S. birrea. The cell lysates were resolved by 17% SDS-PAGE and cyt expression, in both mitocondrial and cytosolic fractions, was analysed by immunoblotting.
