Long Noncoding RNA Expression Signatures of Metastatic Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma and Their Prognostic Value

Figure 1

The number of upregulated and downregulated lncRNAs. (a) Hierarchical clustering was performed based on “All Targets Value-lncRNAs.” The results of hierarchical clustering revealed distinct lncRNA expression profiles between the samples. (b) Thousands of lncRNAs were found to be significantly upregulated or downregulated in metastatic NPC tumors compared with primary NPC tumors in seven NPC patients based on microarray analysis. The number of upregulated and downregulated lncRNAs varied between the seven patients. In the four randomly paired M and T groups, downregulated lncRNAs were more common than upregulated lncRNAs. (c) H19 was found to be upregulated in all metastatic samples (); the expression levels of H19 were 1.8- to 3-fold higher in the metastatic tumors than in the primary tumors.
