Molecular Imaging for Comparison of Different Growth Factors on Bone Marrow-Derived Mesenchymal Stromal Cells’ Survival and Proliferation In Vivo
Figure 4
Bioluminescence imaging of the effects of VEGF, bFGF, and IGF-1 on bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (BMSCs) survival in vivo. The densities of Fluc signals were similar among all groups (BMSCs + matrigel: p/sec/cm2/sr; BMSCs + matrigel + VEGF: p/sec/cm2/sr; BMSCs + matrigel + bFGF: p/sec/cm2/sr; BMSCs + matrigel + IGF-1: p/sec/cm2/sr) within 5 h. Two weeks later, the densities of Fluc signals were attenuated; five weeks later, the ratio of signals of BMSCs + matrigel + IGF-1 group to BMSCs + matrigel group (21%) was significantly higher than that of the other groups (<10%); ; in each group.
