Altered Clock and Lipid Metabolism-Related Genes in Atherosclerotic Mice Kept with Abnormal Lighting Condition

Circadian expression of Sirt1 in liver and fat tissue of mice. Levels of Sirt1 were determined by quantitative real-time PCR. In the liver tissue, Sirt1 in ApoE-KO and ApoE-KO LD/DL mice exhibited circadian oscillation not in accordance with 24 hours. Further, in the fat tissue, the mesors of ApoE-KO mice and ApoE-KO LD/DL mice were increased compared with those in C57 mice. The expression of ZT0, ZT4, and ZT12 was promoted compared with C57 and ApoE-KO mice. The mRNA levels of clock genes were normalized to GAPDH mRNA ( for each group at every time point).
