Inhibition of the hemorrhagic activity of B. jararaca and B. erythromelas venoms by aqueous extract of J. mollissima (Jm). (a) B. jararaca (Bja) and (b) B. erythromelas (Ber) venoms were injected s.c. in the ventral region of the animals treated with different i.p. doses of Jm. 3 h later, the inner surface skin was exposed, photo documented, and the halos weighed. Values were expressed as mean ± standard error of mean with . and when compared to the venom control group (Tukey’s test, one-way ANOVA).
