As already shown in Figure 2, tomographic ultrasound imaging (TUI) on midsagittal plane provides a set of slices (a). Here, the bold highlighted slice is represented on axial plane in (b). This view facilitates the accurate location of the tape and the measurement of distances. In particular, the image illustrates the distance between the anterior margin of the tape and the longitudinal smooth muscle (LSM) complex of the urethra (1) and the distance between the anterior margin of the tape and the inferior margin of the symphysis pubis (2).
