PPVA improved BDI-induced cholestasis. (a) Ntcp and Bsep mRNA expression was analyzed using qRT-PCR. Ntcp protein expression (b) and Bsep protein expression (c) were measured by western blotting in all groups. PCR results are expressed as the mean ± SEM of at least triplicate measurements. Western blotting data represent the mean ± SEM of three independent experiments and are normalized to GAPDH. versus the Sham group; versus the PPVA + BDI group. Differences were assessed by two-way ANOVA and comparisons between groups were performed by Bonferroni posttests at each time point.
