Relation of ABO Blood Groups to the Plaque Characteristic of Coronary Atherosclerosis

The minimum FCT in different blood type group evaluated by optical coherence tomography. Compared to non-O type, the O type subjects showed a thicker minimum fibrous cap thickness ( versus , ). There was no significant difference found in AB type subjects and O type group after adjustment by Bonferroni’s correction ( value < 0.008 was considered statistically significant), between neither B type nor O type. The A type subjects showed a significantly thinner minimum fibrous cap thickness compared with O type subjects ().
