Insulin release assays. Insulin secretion was  ng/10⁵ cells,  ng/10⁵ cells,  ng/10⁵ cells, and  ng/10⁵ cells at a glucose concentration of 5 mM, 15 mM, 30 mM, and 45 mM. By contrast, no insulin was produced when glucose was washed out.
